Ryan from the Muskegon Career Tech Center invited us in to present to his two Engineering and Problem Solving Classes. We had, I think, one of the best collaborative FiB’s ever. Alex, the Principle of the Tech Center informed the volunteers of the things that they were working on and how we can fit into those plans, the volunteers to teach metal castings, and Nugent and CWC to support the efforts to get students trained and hired into local companies. We did a foundry in a box demonstration at Fruitport Middle School in Fruitport, Mi. Mr. Thommen invited us in to show about 45 students in his woodshop classes a little bit about metal castings. Riley is in the Human Resource Department at Linamar Structures right around the corner from the Middle School. She was able to talk with students and answer any questions they may of had.
