Muskegon Montessori – 2026
Thanks to Andy, John, Laurie, Scott, Beth, Don, Randy, Bill, Al, and Reg for volunteering at the Muskegon Montessori School Academy for Environmental Change Foundry in a Box demonstration. Andria Yost hosted us on Monday April 27th 2026. Andria herself is a recent recipient of the U.S. EPA Presidential Innovation award for Environmental Educators. This is given to recognize the Teaching and Inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders. We had first graders to 8th graders. We had 80+ students and staff attend the demonstrations.
Lots of the castings had the ability to have a hole drilled in them. We provided the jewelry jumpers and Andria provided the string so students could make them into a necklace. Markers were used to paint the castings also.
