Kevin Fleischmann, AFS and the Institute

Kevin holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University, and is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of all Institute courses, as well as instruction. Additionally, his activities include collaboration with other industry groups; he is an instructor for the Investment Casting Institute’s certification course, and recently updated the casting section of the Manufacturing Engineering Handbook from McGraw-Hill.
A regular contributor to articles in Modern Casting and Metalcasting Design & Purchasing, he is also a frequent presenter at chapter meetings and AFS conferences. Besides providing subject matter expertise for the development of new courses, Kevin is currently an instructor for the Institute’s Introduction to Metalcasting, Casting Defect Analysis, Iron 101, and Gating & Riser Design courses.
